During my design internship at Chubbies, I had the opportunity to collaborate closely with the Product Management Intern on a full concept development project. She provided me with a creative brief, and from there I was responsible for creating an original apparel line for the Spring ’27 season. This process involved researching trends, building mood boards, selecting color palettes, and developing patterns and illustrations that fit the Chubbies aesthetic.
I created a collection themed “A Trip to A-Bead-Za,” inspired by the vibrant, playful energy of Ibiza. The line focused on bold colors, whimsical motifs, and intricate beaded embroidery as the signature element. Through this project, I gained hands-on experience in creative direction, surface design, and translating a concept into a cohesive product line, strengthening both my design skills and my ability to tell a visual story through apparel.
