Wildflower Wrapping Paper Co.

Digital Illustration

Wildflower Wrapping is a feminine, illustration-led wrapping paper line inspired by bows, florals, and the soft beauty of everyday celebrations. Each design begins as my own digital watercolor illustration, crafted to feel delicate, joyful, and expressive. The collection is unified by a cohesive visual language of ribbons, flowers, and charming character motifs.

Created as both a brand and a surface design project, Wildflower Wrapping showcases my passion for illustration, pattern-making, and transforming small moments, like wrapping a gift, into thoughtful, artful experiences.

How To Create Digital Watercolor Patterns:

Step 1: Creating the Base Watercolor Design

Begin with loose shapes using a Procreate watercolor brush.

Use light pastel washes (low opacity) to build up from lightest to darkest, following traditional watercolor layering.

Use color layering to define form instead of outlines. Let light and shadow create natural edges.

Step 2: Building Composition with Decorative Elements

Add complementary motifs

Maintain flow by balancing line weight. Outline softly using a textured brush.

Keep your canvas texture subtle (lower opacity around 30–40%) to preserve watercolor transparency

Step 3: Create Seamless Patterns in Procreate and export your pattern

Merge visible layers, duplicate the pattern, and test across the canvas.

Export as PNG (transparent) for pattern work or JPEG for prints.
